Martin DC 16 OGTE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar

The Martin DC-16OGTE features all solid tonal hardwoods that give the guitar a beautifully rich sound. The top is made from a solid piece of sitka spruce and the sides are solid ovangkol. The back is a 3-piece with solid ovangkol wings and an East Indian rosewood centre wedge. With a satin-finished back and sides and a polished gloss top the Martin DC-16OGTE has a fantastic sound, look and feel.
The DC-16OGTE is a Dreadnought Cutaway guitar that is full-bodied but easy to play. Being a dreadnought means that the DC-16OGTE has a big body and consequently produces a loud, strong sound when strummed or picked. Because of their versatility and resonance, Dreadnoughts are one of the world’s most popular types of acoustic guitars. The cutaway cutaway part means that the higher frets are easier to reach due to the indentation in the body adjacent to the neck. The DC-16OGTE’s rounded Venetian cutaway is both stylish and practical and has no detrimental effect on the Dreadnoughts tone or volume.
The DC16OGTE contains an on board Roland AP-1 preamp that provides a superb plugged-in experience. The preamp is able to produce three body-specific tone variations through Roland’s Composite Object Sound Modelling technology. The preamp has a programmable 7-band EQ, anti-feedback control, digital chromatic tuner, digital reverb, and LCD display.
